HOOSIER GIRLS BASKETBALL LEAGUE
Owned and Operated by: The Indiana Fieldhouse LLC
For more than 14 years the Hoosier Girls Basketball League
has focused on providing school based girls' travel teams the most
competitive and well organized basketball league in the United States.
With more than 300 teams playing HGBL basketball annually, our record
stands for itself. HGBL is committed to maintaining its reputation as
the premier basketball opportunity for you and your players.
At our coaches' request the first two
weeks schedule will be on the web site the Tuesday before the first
Sunday of league play. Our primary goal is competitive games so we will
then insure teams are placed in the appropriate competitive division.
The remaining schedule will be added at that time and will not change
after it is posted!
* HGBL does require teams to obtain
team
insurance to cover them during practices or any games played. USSSA still offers the most comprehensive and economical team
insurance coverage we have been able to locate ($89 per team for the
year). Other insurance programs we have reviewed only cover you if
you are playing a team who is covered by the same carrier so be sure
to find out if you are covered no matter who or where you play.
(Proof of Insurance is required)
USSSA is the only youth
group that registers teams and not individual players. All teams must be member
of
USSSA, membership is $25.00
which provides for 15 players and 3 coaches. Your USSSA team
membership is tracked by team/head coach name. Players and assistants may change
without impact to annual team coverage. To
update coverage, simply submit roster changes prior to new players first game.
Purpose: To provide an opportunity for girls grades 3rd through
8th to participate in competitive basketball. Provide an opportunity to

League Games: Travel leagues
will be played in the fall and winter. Fall and Winter league member will host all other division teams on a designated Sunday afternoon.
Games will begin no earlier than 12:00pm and no later than 6:30 pm. Changes to game
schedule will be communicated thru the schedule page on this site. Any changes made after
6:00PM on the Friday prior to a game will be communicated thru a phone call to the coach
or designated contact.
League Roster: All
players must be in the grade or below in which league they are playing.
Team's
roster must consist of players attending the same school or feed into the same
High School of their School District. Parochial or Private school teams must
identify the schools in their school system (district) that feed into the same
high school. A maximum of
15 players and a
minimum of 8 players are allowed per team. HBGL/USSSA roster rules apply for
HGBL STATE

without approval by the league. (State Tournament roster can change from the
